NOTE: The CRR Board is reviewing and will be updating CRR Training options early 2025
Are you a beginner runner? Or are you training for a specific distance?
Come join us at 8:00am on Saturday mornings for a group run in Abington!
Colonial Road Runners meet every Saturday, year-round, for group runs at a conversational pace. Whether you are interested in running 3 miles, 6 miles, 8 miles, 10 miles or longer…whether you are thinking about running your first 5K, or training for a marathon…we can help you reach your goals.
Runners of all abilities and interests are welcome!
If you are a beginner runner, this is a great way to meet other runners, gain training tips, and receive encouragement and motivation.
If you like to run races, training with a group at a moderate pace will help you build your endurance and keep you in shape year-round. Many of us like to compete at all distances from 5K on up, and often travel together to area races.
If you are thinking about running your first marathon, this is an opportunity to train in the company of experienced runners, who love to talk about running and share their knowledge with others. You will find company for your longer training runs, and get plenty of advice on training schedules and techniques, pacing, injury prevention, nutrition, and race-day preparation.
Tuesdays & Thursdays (These training runs are under review, updates coming in 2025)
September 1, 2022 – April 2023
Every Tuesday and Thursday night, the club hosts training runs in the Union Point development off Route 18 in South Weymouth at 6:30 P.M. See the below map for parking and meeting location. The course is a well-lit out and back course, with some rolling hills (its a former airbase…how hilly can it be?) and has very little traffic. No advance notice or planning is required…just show up ready to run at 6:30 on any Tuesday or Thursday evening.
