After a stretch of raw, cold, rainy windy weather during the week, race day dawned clear and bright. By the time the starting gun was fired, the temps were on the way up, with not a cloud in the sky. Our crack team of volunteers, spread out along the course, made sure runners stayed on course and remained hydrated. Jeff Sousa of Taunton led all runners, clocking in with a time of 1:15:30 (5:46 pace), a full 4+ minutes in front of 2nd place finisher David Constantino of Weymouth. Leading the way for the females was Charlotte DeLeo of Shrewsbury with a time of 1:30:50 (6:56 pace). Overall, there were 213 finishers in 2014, up from 183 in 2013. Race directors Dawn Foley and Sandy Allen outdid themselves once again, supported by an outstanding crew of volunteers. Complete results can be found here.
